All right guys, in this lesson we’re going to talk about report to the OR from either the ICU or the floor, but anytime you give report to the ORs, they’re not going to want all the information. What they want to know are really important details. So if the patient has any lines, drains or airways, they also want to know code status, what team they’re with, um, and any access. So terms in terms of lions or maybe IVs, that’s going to be the information that’s that they’re really gonna need. They’re not gonna need that full head to toe breakdown. So watch how we give report on this video so that you know how to give report to the or.
So Miriam, this is Mrs Wickham. She’s going to the or for a shunt placement because of a hydro hydrocephalus due to a brain tumor. So she’s 35 years old. Full code, no allergy. She’s with the neurosurgery team. In terms of the lines, she has a double lumen PICC to the left upper. Um, she’s been NPO since yesterday. And the last thing that she got was the heparin 5,000 units yesterday sub Q at 2000 okay. Do you have any other questions? No, we’ll send her back to the ICU to recover after everything’s done, so perfect. Thanks. Okay guys, thanks for joining us on these practice scenarios. Happy nursing.
