      3. The goal is to end the nursing shortage
         1. Make an impact on their education to put highly educated individuals out in the field

2. Four tenets of the Core Content Mastery Method:

      1. The most important information – this is critical to their learning experience
      2. Filet Mignon not the entire buffet
   2. O – Origins
      1. The “why” Behind the What
      2. Give concepts not facts
      3. Make it make sense
      4. Knowing “why” will help with retention because they truly get it!
   3. R – Real life
      1. Connecting the content
      2. Real-life story (storytelling)
      3. Linchpins & Connections
   4. E – Engagement
      1. Learner-Centered – This is all about them
      2. Talking as if we are explaining to our friend
      3. Making it a positive learning experience
