- Discuss the nursing priorities for prevention and/or management of pressure ulcers/Pressure injuries
- Explain the pathophysiology of Herpes Zoster (Shingles), how to recognize it, and how to manage these patients.
- Discuss ways to identify skin cancer and educate a patient on how to prevent skin cancer from forming.
- Discuss the pathophysiology and nursing priorities for MRSA infections, frostbite, and Stevens Johnson Syndrome.

It’s so important that we understand how to assess the skin, how to prevent any kind of breakdown, and how to treat any lesions or wounds. We’ll walk you through some of the most common skin diseases, how to identify them, and how to care for those patients.
