Hey guys, let’s talk about the drug Seline also known as PRI. This is an oral and transdermal medication. As you can see here by the patch, the therapeutic class of Selo, Joline how the drug works in the body is an anti Parkinsonian agent, as well as an anti antidepressant. The pharmacologic glass or its chemical effect is a monoamine oxidase inhibitor. So Cline increases the activity of dopamine by blocking its breakdown. We use this drug for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease for depression, and also off-label for ADHD. Some of the side effects that we can see with Cline are things like nausea, hallucinations, confusion, and depression. 

Some of the nursing considerations for Soline. It is often used in conjunction with carbidopa levodopa, when used for Parkinson’s while on this medication monitor your patient’s blood pressure, their mood and behavior, and also monitor for any suicidal eye ideations use caution in patients with liver and kidney disease, and also patients who have hypertension do not use within 14 days of antidepressants St. John’s wart, methadone, Demerol, or Emma AIS, and do not use within five weeks of fluoxetine. Guys teach the patient to not stop taking this drug suddenly and avoid alcohol and foods high. And tyramine things like age, cheese, and dried meats. So Celine does have a black box warning in adolescence and young and adults of increased risk of suicidal thoughts and feeling.
