- Hemorrhagic
- Ruptured vessel–> causes bleeding on the brain
- Ischemic
- Results of ishemic and hemorrhagic CVAs/strokes
- TIA = Transient Ischemic Attack
- Temporary blockage causes a “mini-stroke”
- RIND = Reversible Ischemic Neurological Deficit
- CI = Cerebral Infarct
- Basilar Vertebral Artery
- Carotid Artery
- Carotid Artery is the most common place
- 85% symptoms are caused by temporary cerebral edema
