The liver is a large organ, located in the abdomen on the right side. It’s purpose is for the protein synthesis, glucose storage (in the form of glycogen), decomposition of RBCs, production of hormones and production of bile. The gallbladder is located beneath the liver, and serve to store bile and releases it into the intestine via the common bile duct.
